Open House Christmas Special

We're looking forward to our Open House Christmas Special.

 

Open House is open to all and is an opportunity to come together as a community to eat, connect, and have fun.

 

We'll provide the space, you just need to bring your own dinner or maybe even grab something from one of the takeaways on Cheriton High Street.

 

There will be toys and games set up for children and tea and coffee provided as well as various Christmas crafts and festive treats.

 

This will be on Tuesday 26th November, 4.30pm - 7pm.  There's no need to book, you can just turn up.

Family Picnic

On Saturday, 1st July everyone is invited to bring a picnic and meet together at Kearsney Abbey (Alkham Rd, Dover) at 12 noon. This will be a fantastic chance for all of us to spend some time together. More information will be sent out nearer the time. Bring on the sunny weather!

It Takes A Village - Resourcing those raising children

A time for parents/carers/grandparents to come together, to be encouraged, learn from each other, have opportunities to pray together, and access hints and helpful tips as you bring up your children.

Breakout groups will run covering different topics during the morning

A designated baby area will be available for your use in the same room.

Provision for primary school-aged children and young people up to the age of 13.

As One Voice Worship Conference

As One Voice gathers worshippers from across Kent and further afield to connect, grow and engage with Heaven's heart for worship in our area and beyond.

 

This is a conference not just for musicians and singers, but for those with a worshipping heart.

Paddlesport activity at Seapoint Canoe Centre

Half Term Date: Thursday 27th October 10.30-12.30pm 

Cost: £5 per child 

Each child needs to be booked on at least 1 week in advance, the earlier you book the more you are guaranteed a place as numbers are limited. You need to book with payment by cash or by BAC's sort 09-01-29 account 07981854 to secure a place. Book through CBC website or at one of the regular Kids Alive times. Click here to book

Location and parking  : We will meet at Seapoint canoe centre located at Princes Parade, Hythe CT21 5ZY. The machine takes coins or parking can be paid for by mobile phone, and free parking is on the Seabrook road if you are planning to stay. For more information including directions can be found on the Seapoint Canoe Centre (SCC) website under 'contact us'.

Clothing : Your child is advised to wear suitable clothes to paddle in appropriate to the seasonal weather. Water or beach shoes ideal but if not an old pair of flat trainers you don't mind getting wet, leggings or tracksuit bottoms – shorts in the summer. T shirt or base layer/rash vest and a jumper/fleece top Hoody if cold. A woolly hat and warm jacket is ideal when getting off the water and during breaks when it is cold. If your child has their own wetsuit feel free to bring it to paddling. Wetsuits can be sourced at a reasonable price online from various outlets including sports direct, Decathalon or second-hand from the usual selling sites. Supermarkets may also stock them at this time of year. Please remember to bring a towel and a change of clothes for afterwards.

Living & Telling Course

Coming up at CBC, The Living & Telling Course from Agape UK.

Meet together over 8 sessions to discover more about how you can share your faith with others confidently.  This course is coupled with an excellent journal to help you record your journey.

 

Key questions that are covered include:

How can you tell your story well? How can you give good answers? And what do people need to know about God so they can know him personally?

 

The journal is for you to jot, scribble & draw. You’re encouraged to make it yours. Treasure it and go back to it again and again. God is making you ready to share your faith in Jesus as a way of life.

Prayer at Folkestone Council Chambers

Join us for another evening of prayer, prophetic declaration through word/art, and worship in the Folkestone Council Chambers.

 

These have been powerful times to pray for our local government and community. When God's people gather in His name, we can expect a shift in the atmosphere, and to see heaven touching the earth in our government and the local community.

We are hosting a fun and relaxed evening for couples to come together to be encouraged and resourced in their marriage.

 

We'll be drawing on some fantastic resources from Alpha, Care for The Family, and others.

 

This is a great opportunity to invest in your marriage and benefit from some encouragement and advice.
